SponSiTility

This is quite a busy wkend for me. First, my mum was hospitalised for a small ops to remove some tumour-like tingy in her womb. Which meant i had to visit the hospital quite often. Then I had my cousin's 21st bdae n finally my claz chalet. Having to split up my time is a difficult job. Who is more important? Can I skip on one of the event. This is so typical of life. Having to balance all the components of ur social life. 1st, I definitely had to go visit my mum... that is a no brainer, 2nd my cousin's bdae is also a must-go.......she is my cousin n my absence wld be pretty obvious. Lastly, I really want to meet my frens at the chalet.....some of which i havent seen for very very long. In the end......i sacrificed sleep n private moments to go to all 3. Issnt that y people always complain they had no time for themselves? I understand now.

Chocz

hEy! the superfine dark choc frm Marks n Spencers which has a min cocoa % of 70% sure is nice. It is the 1st dark choc i ate tt is more bitter than sweet. Although kinda hard at 1st, it melts in ur mouth to form smooth bittersweet choc. Tink of all the healthy anti-oxidants flowing into the throat man......go figures!

Singaporean traits

Been to sunshine plaza(so goddamn place i've never been to b4) todae wif my fren to find some stuff........... din manage to get wat he wanted. But saw a place sellin wanton mee...... looks quite nice...........malaysian style: dark soy sauce wif the wanton in the soup.....not together wif the mee. N it was quite crowded too. Business was gd so we had to check it out.......typical Singaporean....when there is a queue.......there is gd stuff. Upon further probing, realised the crowd was there due to some tv intro to the place. Yet another typical Singaporean reaction.....anyting on tv is gd stuff. Turned out that it was more hype than quality. Sure it was more than the usual fare, but to spend 15 min to walk n then 30 min to wait for it to be served? Hmm.....not realli worth the time I must say. Later, we went to somewhere nearby to eat some soya beancurd that is supposed to be quite nice. N after that......walked all the way to bugis hawker centre wanting to get a drink after a long stroll in sim lim centre. Saw a queue for tau suan... a traditional dessert. Cld not resis the temptation.....b4 i knew it.....i'm in the queue. It turns out that the dessert was not bad. Yet another lesson learned abt the Singapore homo sapien species todae.........nuting stops this species frm gd food........not a long queue.....not a full stomach.......n not a previous bad experience. LOLx

Durians!!!!!!!

Wat is it wif durians man.........u will either luv it or hate it........2 extremes.......no in between. N i happen to lurvvvee it......a pity tt u cant eat alot in 1 sitting, too heaty......n not cheap either (but prices drop like crazy when in season). Somehow, durians seem to be in season all yr long nowadaes. Must be someting to do wif genetic manipulation....it seems to take away the kick of anticipation of the durain seasons (usually ard june n dec). With the myriad of species of durians, (d24, d10, mao san wang, etc) choosin the rite durian to suit ur tastebuds is an art in itself. I've jus bought some durians yest (5 for $10). I'm very amazed........all were red meat (which is actually dark yellow). N all taste almost similar......it was scary......such uniformity was untold of in the past. Look wat genetic manipulation cld do........n pple still tinks gm is kinda far away.
