Revelation

Eager to test out the capabilities of my new camera, I cycled ard my neighbourhood to shoot a couple of photos. Following a theme of loneliness (my present situation), I went about sourcing for promising scenes.
Then came my moment of revelation. After roaming around the neighbourhood for hours. I found more love and companionship than any lonely characters.
Whether it is people, animals or the inanimate, love seems to connect them.
Whether it is a girl egging her mother on while she exercise, birds soaring through the sky in pairs or the master enjoying the company of his dog, no one is truely lonely. I guess these connections r more extensive than believed, all u need is to observe the small gestures.
As for me......I still have my camera don't I???

Divergent pockets required for convergent equipments

The problem wif progress and technology................it adds tings tt we "must" carry around to survive in the society. First it was keys. A couple of decades ago when pple live in villages where you know all ur neighbours, nobody bothers to lock up their house since everyone else could be trusted to look after you belongings. But today? Most people have to navigate thru 2 sets of lock just to enter the house.
A couple of decades ago, all people had was cash in the form of notes and coins. The wallet serves a simple function of containing these fortune. But today? A peek into a bulging wallet reveals not jus cash, but also credit cards, debit cards, atm cards, cash cards, name cards, discount cards, membership cards, etc, etc. Do we really need so many of them? It is possible.
Similarly, it was only slightly less than a decade ago that handphones r nice to have accessories. It makes life slightly more convenient n maybi a symbol of wealth......tts about all. Who would have thought that it is now a practically must-have in this fast-paced society? I'll be lost from my friends......instructions will take ages to pass down........appointments must be made real early......blah blah blah.
And then there is music. The fast-paced society ensure little time for personal recreation. As such.......interest in music had to be squeezed into non-productive times such as during travelling or while walking. Past technology such as walkman or discman made music portable. But recent technology such as flash based mp3 players made music truely portable and fashionable. It became a must have not jus for the music enthusiast.
Lastly there is the shuttlebug in all of us, the little paparazzi or the urge to capture a fleeting memory. Digital cameras, being so small and convenient quickly got accepted into our tag-alongs.
All these items eventually made their way into my pockets and suddenly, I realised that I had insufficient pockets in a standard pants. The unimaginable in the past.
Fortunately, there is convergent equipment like my present handphone, the sony ericsson k750i. Kudos to the technophiles out there who thought of combining the camera, mp3 player and handphone into one small, handy and attractive device.
So as u can c here.......we cant blame technology totally. If i did not have this convergent device, I wld need to carry a camera, handphone, mp3 player, alarm clock, notepad n pen, calculator, torchlight and gaming device separately......tt wld be unimaginable wld it?
Having said all these, I guess it is inevitable when "gd to have" becomes "must have" due to technology. But thankfully, technology made it so much easier to have them all at the same time. I guess the technophile in me cant wait for the future to shower its gadgets on me....regardless of the number of pockets I will have.

Hmm.......ate this strawberry romanoff tingy at Coffee Club last saturdae. I had no idea wats a romanoff anyway.......but it sure is powerful. This alcoholic dessert wif sliced almonds, a little orange juice n a scoop of vanilla ice-cream was delicious........n absolutely poisonous. I had a veri bad sore throat the next day which is still at its best todae. Also, i got a splitting headache right now (split my head btw the painful area n the not painful area) accompanied by flu. Never knew a little dessert could be so powerful........

Retrenched........for doin too gd a job.

Hiaks, I got the break i wanted, but unintened. Lolx. Was workin part time at a small company for like almost 3 wks. Before I know it, I had finished all the work i was supposed to do in 2 mths. Suddenly, they had nothing left for me to do. Being paid by the hour, I guess they find it fair to not pay me for doin nothing. Therefore, I was asked to take a 2 wks break until there is enough backlog in the company for me to do. Lolx. Guess its the bane of being too hardworking ar. Killed myself instead. Kinda comical to tink abt this paradox.

VVVVVVVVV.....cool

"Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose vis-à-vis an introduction, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V." -- V's introduction to Evey
